Who is responsible?

Dayvinn and Lucy are responsible for the processing of personal data by Lovicare. For privacy questions: info@lovicare.nl.

Which data is processed

When you send a request or a message, Lovicare processes the details you enter yourself. For a nanny care request, that is your first and last name, email address, phone number and address; for each child, the first name, date of birth and the short note you add; the type of care you choose, the care sessions or period you would like and the address where care takes place; and the practical information you want to share, such as routines, meals, sleep, house rules, activities, school and the school run.

If you add an emergency contact, we also process their name and phone number. Please do check with them that this is fine.

If you create a My Lovicare account, we also keep your account details (email address, name and phone number), the children’s profiles you manage there, your requests and care sessions, personal notifications, invoices and payments, and your Lovi credit. An account is not required: you can also send a request without one.

Medical records and special categories of health data are deliberately not requested. If you do share such information, it is used solely to safeguard your child’s wellbeing.

What the data is used for

Your data is used to contact you, assess your request, make a suitable proposal and, where an arrangement follows, to plan and invoice the care and to provide safe, high-quality care.

With an account, we also use your data to show your requests, care sessions, invoices and notifications in My Lovicare, and to keep you informed by email about your request and your care.

Data you provide in a request, message or account is not sold, not provided to Meta or other advertising parties and not used for advertising. Only with your consent does the website use the Meta Pixel to measure the reach and results of Lovicare’s advertising; see ‘Meta Pixel and marketing cookies’.

Welcome code and invitations

The welcome code WELKOM25 applies once per new family. To be able to check this, we keep, next to your customer details, an encrypted derivative of your address and phone number; those details themselves cannot be read back from it.

If you come to Lovicare through another family’s personal invitation link, we record that your registration came through that invitation. Once your first booking has been completed and paid, that family receives Lovi credit. The family who invited you only sees in My Lovicare that an invitation was registered or rewarded, not your name or any other details.

Processors and tools

For the website and the systems behind it, Lovicare uses service providers, among others for hosting, sending email, customer administration, the calendar and the database. They process your data only on Lovicare’s instructions. Appropriate agreements are made with those parties about how your data is handled.

Meta is not a processor acting on behalf of Lovicare. Meta’s role is described under ‘Meta Pixel and marketing cookies’.

For Google Analytics, Google is a processor acting on behalf of Lovicare; see ‘Google Analytics and analytics cookies’.

Retention

Data from requests that do not lead to an arrangement is kept no longer than needed to handle the request.

Data of families with an ongoing arrangement is kept for the duration of that arrangement and thereafter only as long as statutory retention obligations require.

A request you have not sent yet may be kept temporarily on the server, for example when you switch language halfway or confirm your email address. Such a temporary copy can only be retrieved through your own browser and is deleted automatically after 24 hours at the latest. Passwords are never stored in it.

Cookies and local storage

The website distinguishes between necessary cookies and local storage, which are always active, and analytics and marketing cookies, which are placed only after you have given your explicit consent. On your first visit you are asked to make a choice. You can accept or reject all optional cookies, or set your preferences per category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the entire website remains available without consent. No options are pre-selected.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via ‘Cookie settings’ at the bottom of every page and on this page. An earlier choice for necessary cookies only does not count as consent to analytics or marketing cookies.

For signing in to My Lovicare and for temporarily keeping a request you have not sent yet, the website uses functional cookies. They are needed for these features to work.

Your browser also remembers a few small things locally: your cookie preference and the time you gave it, a technical reference to advertising and analytics measurements already sent (without entered form details, to prevent double counting), your language preference, whether you have opened the welcome notification, the time of recent submissions (to limit misuse), which of the two celebration sounds plays next after a request, the date of your last visit to My Lovicare (only for the greeting) and, if you arrived through a personal invitation link, the code of that invitation, for up to 60 days. This information stays on your device; only the invitation code is sent along when you yourself send a request or create an account.

Google Analytics and analytics cookies

Only if you have given your consent (the ‘Analytics’ category) does the website use Google Analytics 4, an analytics service of Google Ireland Limited (‘Google’). Google Analytics is a script that your browser loads from Google’s servers and that sends data about the use of this website to Google. Without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded, no analytics cookies are placed and no data is sent to Google.

Purposes. Lovicare uses Google Analytics to measure how the website is used: which pages are viewed, how visitors reach the website (for example through a search engine, an advertisement or a partner), which links to other websites are clicked and how many requests the website receives. Lovicare uses these insights solely to improve the website and its services, not for advertising.

Data processed. The following may be processed through Google Analytics: the web address of the page visited and of the page you came from (without personal or secure codes), the time of the visit, technical data about your browser and device, such as browser type, operating system and screen size, an approximate location based on your IP address, a cookie with a random identifier placed on this domain by Google Analytics (_ga and _ga_ followed by the measurement ID), and the events Lovicare measures: viewing a page, a click on a link to another website and a request received by the website. For a request, only the type of request and the chosen package are passed on. According to Google, IP addresses are not logged or stored in Google Analytics 4.

Names, email addresses, telephone numbers, addresses, dates of birth, information about children and any other form content are not passed on to Google. Google signals and use for personalised advertising are switched off. On pages you reach through a personal, secure link, such as an invoice link, a sign-in link or a personal invitation link, Google Analytics is not loaded.

Allocation of roles. Google processes the data for Google Analytics as a processor on behalf of Lovicare, on the basis of Google’s data processing terms.

Legal basis and withdrawal. The use of Google Analytics and the placing of analytics cookies are based solely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation and Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act). You can withdraw your consent at any time via ‘Cookie settings’. After withdrawal, the website no longer sends any new data to Google Analytics and removes the cookies placed on this domain by Google Analytics. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area. Google may also process the data it receives outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. According to Google, this takes place on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission. Please refer to Google’s privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

Retention periods. According to Google’s documentation, the _ga cookie and the _ga_ cookie followed by the measurement ID are valid for up to two years; that period starts again on a new visit with consent. Lovicare has set the retention period for event data in Google Analytics to 14 months; after that, the data is deleted automatically.

Meta Pixel and marketing cookies

Only if you have given your consent does the website use the Meta Pixel, a measurement tool of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (‘Meta’). The Meta Pixel is a script that your browser loads from Meta’s servers and that sends data about your visit to this website to Meta. Without your consent, the Meta Pixel is not loaded and no data is sent to Meta.

Purposes. Lovicare uses the Meta Pixel to (i) measure how many visitors come to the website after seeing or clicking on a Lovicare advertisement on Facebook or Instagram (advertising measurement); (ii) establish whether a visit leads to a request received by the website or, once online payment is available, to a confirmed payment (conversion tracking); (iii) build groups of website visitors to whom Lovicare advertisements can be shown (remarketing); and (iv) assess and improve the effectiveness of advertising.

Data processed. The following may be processed through the Meta Pixel: the web address of the page visited and of the page you came from, the time of the visit, technical data about your browser and device, including your IP address, browser type and screen size, a cookie with an identifier placed on this domain by the Meta Pixel (_fbp) and, if you arrive through an advertisement, a click identifier (_fbc), and the events Lovicare measures: viewing a page, opening the details of a service or package, a request received by the website and a confirmed payment. For a request, only the type of request and the chosen package are passed on; for a payment, only the amount and the currency.

Names, email addresses, telephone numbers, addresses, dates of birth, information about children and any other form content are not passed on to Meta. Automatic configuration, with which the Meta Pixel could itself read buttons, forms and page data, and automatic advanced matching are switched off. On pages you reach through a personal, secure link, such as an invoice link, a sign-in link or a personal invitation link, the website sends no data to Meta.

Allocation of roles. Lovicare and Meta are jointly responsible for collecting this data on the website and transmitting it to Meta. The further processing of the data received by Meta, including its use for Meta’s own purposes, falls under Meta’s own responsibility. If you are signed in to Facebook or Instagram, Meta may link the data to your account; Lovicare has no influence over this. More information about Meta’s processing and about exercising your rights with Meta can be found in Meta’s privacy policy (www.facebook.com/privacy/policy).

Cookies that Meta places on its own domains cannot be removed by Lovicare; you can manage those in your browser or in your settings with Meta. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

According to Meta, this takes place on the basis of the appropriate safeguards Meta applies, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission. Retention periods. Your cookie preference remains stored in your browser until you change it or delete your browser data. According to Meta’s documentation, the _fbp and _fbc cookies are valid for up to 90 days; that period starts again on a new visit with consent. How long Meta retains the data it receives is determined by Meta; please refer to Meta’s privacy policy.

Photos and imagery

No photos or stories about your children are shared, online or offline, without your explicit permission. Permission is always requested separately and can be withdrawn at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, and to object to its processing. With an account, you can see much of your data in My Lovicare and request a change there.

In addition, subject to the conditions of the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to restriction of processing and to data portability, and the right to withdraw any consent given at any time. These rights also apply to the data collected through Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel; requests concerning the further processing by Meta can be addressed directly to Meta.
