Meet Lucy
About me
Hi, my name is Lucy and I am 27 years old. I have lived in Utrecht my whole life.
For as long as I can remember, my passion has been working with children. I have been doing this work for over 10 years now, and still with a great deal of love and attention. Working with children gives me energy, and it is something I find real fulfilment in every day.
Working in a child-centred way matters a great deal to me. I believe every child is different and needs something different. The better we look at who a child is, what they need and what they feel comfortable with, the more room we give them to develop and to flourish.
So for me, good care is not only about making sure everything runs smoothly in practical terms. I want a child to feel safe, seen and understood, and to be able to be themselves.
Together with parents
When parents entrust their children to me, I see that as a great responsibility. You do not simply let anyone into your home and into your family’s daily life. That is why a personal introduction, clear agreements and real attention to your routines matter so much to me.
Good contact with parents is just as important to me. We do this together, after all. You know your child best, and by communicating openly, saying out loud what we expect and aligning properly, we can stand around your child as one team.
For me, the best care comes about when we trust each other, can talk things through honestly and look together at what your child needs at that moment. That way we create not just good care, but calm and clarity for the whole family.
Why Lovicare
Why I started Lovicare comes out of my years of experience within professional childcare. I learned an enormous amount there, but I also noticed more and more how busy it can be. There is a lot that has to happen at once, and because of that there is not always the time and room to give every child the personal attention they need.
That is exactly what touched me. I believe a child needs not only good care, but also real attention, calm, love and time. Every child is different and deserves to be seen.
With Lovicare I want to do it differently. I want to offer families personal care in which the child is genuinely looked at: their character, their needs, their rhythm and their development.
For me, good care is not about doing as much as possible in as little time as possible, but about being present. Listening, observing, tuning in and creating a safe environment in which a child feels comfortable and is given the room to flourish.
That is what Lovicare stands for, to me: more personal attention, more calm and more time for what a child really needs.

Lovicare only publishes experience, documents and qualifications that can genuinely be evidenced. Relevant documents can be discussed and inspected on request during the introduction.
Professional childcare experience
Hands-on experience within professional childcare, alongside experience caring for children in families’ own homes.
Paediatric first aid
A valid paediatric first-aid certificate can be inspected on request during the introduction.
Dutch certificate of good conduct (VOG)
A valid VOG can be inspected on request during the introduction.
10+ years of experience
Extensive experience with children, in professional childcare and in personal care at families’ homes.
Relevant diplomas and certificates
Relevant diplomas and certificates can be discussed and inspected on request during the introduction.
All relevant documents can be shown on request during the introduction.
Professional development
In time, Lovicare will extend its services with personal sleep coaching. While that service is not yet available, sleep coaching is not offered and Lovicare does not present itself as a provider of it.

You book a one-off night with Lovi’s Flexible, choosing your own start and end time. For a fixed night that comes back every week there is Lovi’s Family Night. If more intensive active care is needed during the night, we agree that personally beforehand.
Lovicare as a brand
Lovicare starts with Lucy, but it is set up as a brand. The way of working, with an introduction first, clear agreements, personal attention and discretion, is the standard against which every future addition to Lovicare will be held.
